Naomi M. (Cronkhite) Levite, age 75 of West Lafayette, IN died at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at her residence.
Naomi was born on the Cronkhite Farm near West Lebanon, IN on September 15, 1934. She was the daughter of Levi and Estella (Randle) Cronkhite. She was a 1952 graduate of Williamsport High School. On July 3, 1955 she married John E. Levite at the Hedrick Assembly of God. He survives. She had lived in West Lafayette since 1969.
As a young woman, Naomi worked at 3 different banks, Palmer American National Bank in Danville, IL, Land of Lincoln in Springfield, IL and Indiana National in Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of the Hedrick Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
Surviving along with her husband, John, are, 2 sons, Samuel J. Levite (wife: Lynn) of Plainfield, IN and Daniel H. Levite (wife: Debra) of Fishers, IN; 2 sisters, Lenora Beadle (husband: Norman C.) of Dugger, IN and Evelyn Rice of Clearwater, FL; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Naomi was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Levite and a sister, Alice Williams.
Graveside services with inurnment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 11:00 am with her brother-in-law, Norman C. Beadle officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
