OBITUARY (For Immediate Release) Dateline: West Lebanon, IN Scott A. Clark, age 52 of West Lebanon, IN died on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at his home, Cloverleaf Farm. Born in San Antonio, TX on March 29, 1958, he was the son of Richard A. and Marjorie C. Clark. He was a 1976 graduate of Seeger High School and a 1980 graduate of Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Scott married Nancy Kelsay on August 14, 1982 in Fairmount, IN. Scott’s number one priority was always the well-being of his family. Throughout his life, he was meaningfully engaged with his church and community. He had long served as treasurer of Trinity Presbyterian Church. He also served as an elder and was a youth Sunday school teacher. He coached Little League Baseball and was a lifelong advocate of 4-H. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. Professionally, his was a lifetime spend immersed in innovative agricultural enterprises. As the head of Cloverleaf Farm, he enjoyed researching and implementing leading-edge technologies. Scott was also a partner in Precision Agronomics and assisted in business development. He was a graduate of The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers (TEPAP), of Texas A & M University, a continuing masterclass for agribusinessmen. His ongoing curiosity and quest for knowledge was a defining quality of his life. Earlier in his career, he was at the helm of his own commodities brokerage firm with offices in North American and Europe. Scott found creative expression through wood and loved making furniture and woodwork for his home and items for his family. He was an avid golfer. Some of his fondest memories were playing the Pebble Beach course with son, Aaron, and Scotland’s legendary St. Andrews course with his brother Mike. Surviving is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; his two beloved sons, Aaron R. Clark and Alan R. Clark; his father, Richard A. Clark; his three brothers, Michael Clark (wife: Anna) of Los Angeles, CA, Kelly Clark (wife: Michelle) of Fowler, IN, and Rick Clark (wife: Carol) of Williamsport, IN; 11 nieces and nephews, Kayla, Amanda, Matt, Jessica, Rachel, and Stephanie Clark, Evan, Spencer, Emily, Robert, and Elizabeth Kelsay; and great-nephew, Quinten Clark. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie C. Clark and his grandparents. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Grady Funeral Home, 111 E. Monroe St., Williamsport, IN. A memorial service to commemorate Scott’s life will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 301 S. Clinton, West Lebanon with Rev. Roger McDaniel officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County Community Foundation or the Trinity Presbyterian Church.
