Dale V. White

Dale V. White, age 86 of Covington, IN, and longtime Warren County resident, went to be with the Lord at Ascension St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital surrounded by his loving family at 1:52 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023. Dale was born on July 29, 1936 in Newman, IL. He was the son of Ralph and Alta (Kemple) White. Dale resided in Warren County since 1945 and lived there until moving to Covington in 1995 where he has resided since. He was a 1955 graduate of West Lebanon High School. Dale married Jeanene Hutchison on September 22, 1956 in West Lebanon. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2021. Dale worked for C & D Battery for 12 years, leaving in 1968. He then went to work for Farm Bureau Insurance before going to Warrick Ford in 1977 as a car salesman where he worked until his retirement. He was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church. He helped start the Little League in West Lebanon in 1956. He was a wonderful gardener and cook. Sports was his livelihood, always following his granddaughters games Surviving are, Daughter, Rebecca White (Deb Provo) of Nashville, TN Daughter-in-law, Jennie White of Indianapolis, IN 1 brother, Don F. White of Mesa, AZ 3 grandchildren, Stephanie White, Shanda Allison (Doug), and Stacey White (Jamie Hazel) 4 great-grandchildren, Landon, Aiden, and Avery White, Grayson Hazel- White; Several nieces and nephews Dale was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Todd White and D. Kevin White; grandson, Scott William White; and sisters, Pauline McNeese & Janet White. The family is grateful and appreciative of the caring staff at Ascension St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. We are also thankful to the nurses aides, staff and administration at the Fountain Springs Assisted Living facility for their care and compassion. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport 111 E. Monroe Street, Williamsport, IN 47993 on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be held at the West Lebanon Christian Church 201 S, Clinton Street, West Lebanon, IN 47991 on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Lebanon Christian Church.
