David Wayne Inman, age 74 of Danville, IL, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2024, in his home.
David was born on August 18, 1949, in Danville, IL. He was the son of Howard and Ruth Elaine (Dekam) Inman. David was a 1968 graduate of Seeger High School. He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL, in 1972 as an Ordained Minister. David was raised in rural Williamsport. He moved to Sturgis, MI, after graduation to work as a youth pastor. He pastored in Houghton Lake, MI, Gladwin, MI, and Attica, MI. After his ministry work in Michigan, he became a corrections officer in Adrian, MI. David retired as a general contractor. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville, IL.
David was an avid basketball fan. He loved baseball, especially little league. He also enjoyed golfing, reading, fishing and hunting. Duck and small game were his favorites. David enjoyed spending time in northern Michigan with his children and grandchildren. David’s children and grandchildren were the center of his life.
His children: Jennifer Boyd (Jeremy) of Williamston, MI, Erica Orrell (Duane) of Livonia, MI, and Ryan Inman (Jen) of Roseville, MI;
Four siblings: H. Brent Inman (Anne) of Rural Williamsport, IN, John C. Inman (Lynne) of St. Joseph, MI, Brenda Wright (Stephen) of Greentown, IN, and Nancy L. Inman of Danville, IL;
Seven grandchildren: Hannah Warren (Kyle), Brandon Orrell, Alexis Boyd, Claire Orrell, Grace Orrell, Holden Inman, and Hope Inman
A celebration of life will be held at the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene, 50 Industrial Dr, Adrian, MI 49221, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Betz officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Danville First Church of the Nazarene, 2212 N Vermillion St, Danville, IL 61832.
