Ella Mae (Dixon) Hurst

Ella Mae (Dixon) Hurst, age 86, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2025 at St. Anthony in Lafayette, IN.

Ella was born in Stearns, KY on April 11, 1938 to Walter and Lexie (Bell) Dixon. She later moved to Indiana.

Ella was a homemaker and treasured her family. She enjoyed cooking, putting puzzles together, and watching gunsmoke.

6 grandchildren, Jeremy Howard of Attica, IN, Jennifer Howard of Williamsport, IN, Dave White of Attica, IN, Chris White of Attica, IN, Paul Hurst of Arlington, IN, and Sarah Hurst of Arlington, IN;

5 great-grandchildren, Brody Howard of Attica, IN, Kinley Cook of Williamsport, IN, Ryker Burns of Williamsport, IN, Charlie White of Attica, IN, and Maverick White of Attica, IN;

1 brother, Walter “June” Dixon Jr. of Lafayette, IN

Ella was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Pamela White; 2 sisters, Marie Watson and Patsy Clark; and 1 brother, Thomas Dixon.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport.
