Frances "Fran" L. (Williams) Taylor

Frances “Fran” L. (Williams) Taylor, age 75 of Williamsport, IN passed at 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Fran was born on July 7, 1942 in Washington, IN. She was the daughter of Laurence and Lillian (Himsel) Williams. She graduated from Washington High School in 1959 and Indiana State University in 1964. Fran married George E. Taylor on September 2, 1962 in Washington, IN. He survives. They resided in Warren County since 1964 and prior to that in Terre Haute, IN. Fran was a math and business teacher at Seeger High School for 39 years retiring in 2004. She also coached softball for several years at Seeger High School. She was a member of the Hickman Heights Christian Church. Fran enjoyed golfing, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving with her husband, George, are, 3 children, Lori Grimmett of Williamsport, IN, Brad Taylor (Anne) of Fort Wayne, IN and Steve Taylor (Nancy) of Lafayette, IN; brother, Larry David Williams (Sharon) of New Orleans, LA; 9 grandchildren, Cole Taylor, Brady Taylor, Greg Grimmett (Heather), Stacey Grimmett, Amanda Lee (Justin), Matthew Taylor (Mallory), Sarah Williams (Philip), Katie Taylor and Toby Taylor; and 6 great-grandchildren, Peyton Grimmett, Cayden Grimmett, Hunter Grimmett, Lillyan Grimmett, Ticen Laughner, and Maura Williams.  Fran was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Aaron Williams. Visitation will be at Hickman Heights Christian Church on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be at the church on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Keeton officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Hickman Heights Christian Church or Hope Springs.
