Ginger passed away on August 8, 2023 with her family at her side. Ginger was born May 31, 1955 in Williamsport IN. She graduated from Seeger High School, Class of 1973. She then left on her first of many adventures and went to study at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. After completing her degree, she moved to Indianapolis to look for work. Little did she know at the time that Indianapolis would be her home for the rest of her life. Soon after, Ginger found an apartment and a job and was on her way. In late 1980, she attended a party and met her future husband. They were married in 1982, and the beginning of a whole new list of adventures was about to begin and would span a lifetime. By 1986 their family was complete, adding a daughter and a son in those years. Then the real adventures began. Al and Ginger were known to load up the car and head out for a camping trip, rain or shine! There were years of hiking and just seeing what was over the next hill. Ginger always wanted to know what was over the next hill. As the kids grew, so did the adventures. They traveled all these amazing states while the kids were still at home. Then after they left the nest for their own adventures, Al and Ginger started their international travel. Ginger’s life might have been cut shorter than they wanted, she really had a full and rich one! It is hard to remember all the great places Ginger took Al and their many friends they met along the way. They saw the Northern Lights of Norway, and sailed the fjords of Norway, New Zealand and Chile, she went to the top of the Eiffel tower, she ran along the Great Wall of China, she went on Safari, in Africa. They hiked onto a glacier in Alaska and explored the Colosseum of Rome. Ginger was fearless! And fun and so very full of life. Those left to cherish her memory are beloved husband, Alva T. Such and children, Carrie J. Such and Alva T. Such IV (Ted). In addition to her immediate family, brother, Dennis C. Hunter (Sherry), Lafayette IN, and many brothers/sisters in Laws, Lisa J Blue, Whitestown, IN, Jerry (Joyce) Such, Evansville IN., John (Annette) Such, Sedona, AZ, and Joe(Julie) Such of Prior Lake, MN; and an extensive group of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating.
