James Arthur "Jim" Newlin Jr.

James Arthur “Jim” Newlin Jr., age 66 of Attica, IN passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Jim was born on March 28, 1955 in Crawfordsville, IN. He was the son of James Arthur Newlin Sr. and Deloris (Spangler) Newlin. Jim was a life-long resident of Attica, IN. He attended Seeger Memorial High School. Jim married Brenda Clark and they later divorced. He married Sally Ann Jenkins and she survives. Jim served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Eli Lilly in Lafayette, IN as a custodian and later worked at Purcell’s Junk Yard. Jim loved racing and enjoyed the demolition derby, country music, and classic cars. He enjoyed dancing at the Neon Cactus in West Lafayette, IN. Surviving with his wife, Sally, are, 2 children, Jamie C. Newlin (fiancé: Karic Estes) of Williamsport, IN and Amanda K. Newlin (fiancé: Steven Beedle) of Williamsport, IN; 3 brothers, Harry Newlin of Perrysville, IN, William Newlin of Veedersburg, IN, and A.J. Spangler (Tammy) of Cold Water, AL; 2 grandsons, Kinley Sizemore Jr. and Gage Ryan Carpenter; Several nieces and nephews Jim was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Lacy Jade Newlin and 2 sisters, Della Spencer and Rosemary Newlin. Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. with full military honors.
