James H. "Jim" Pritchard

James H. “Jim” Pritchard, age 67 of Fort Walton Beach, FL, formerly of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 2:51 a.m. on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette. Jim was born on August 25, 1954 in Crawfordsville, IN. He was the son of Charles and Ellora (Landreth) Pritchard. Jim married Patty Tipton on June 23, 2007 in Williamsport, IN and she survives. Jim joined the U.S. Air Force in December 1971 and retired as master sergeant in July 1993. He had a second career with the U.S. Postal Service from August 1994 until his retirement as a postmaster in August 2014. Jim attended and graduated Ivy Tech in 2001 with an associate’s degree in Business Administration. After retiring, Jim & Patty moved to Florida where he enjoyed fishing and hunting, boating, warm weather, gardening, family visits, and spending time with his lifelong friends, Lonnie and Tony at “The Camp.” In the last few years, his great joy was spending each day with his “Sadie Girl” with whom he had a very special bond. Surviving with his wife, Patty, are, Daughters, Nesha (David) Sabine of Wichita Falls, TX and Jamie (Derrick) Pritchard of Merkel, TX; Step-son, Michael (Melissa) Callis of Jacksonville, FL; Step-daughter, Cara Tipton of Fort Walton Beach, FL; Grandsons Jonathan Dunn and Gentry Weigel of Wichita Falls, TX, granddaughter Sydney Callis and grandson Westley Callis of Jacksonville, FL, and granddaughter Sadie Callis of Fort Walton Beach, FL; Sisters, Retha Landreth of Salem, IL, Lindia (Gary) Myers of Clinton, IN, Brenda (Scott) Gregory of Attica, IN, and Marsha Pritchard of Covington, IN; Brothers, Scott Siddens of Mt. Zion, IN, Tony Pritchard of Covington, IN, and Roger Pritchard of Veedersburg, IN; Many nieces and nephews and 1 nephew with whom he had a special bond, Cody Cullum; And many cousins Jim was preceded in death by his father; mother; step-father, Leo Siddens who raised Jim and who he called Dad; brothers, Dale Siddens, Brian Pritchard, and Charles Pritchard; and grandparents, Lottie & Wilbur Woodrow, Oscar Landreth, and Leonard & Retha Pritchard. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor J. David Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery with full military honors.
