Janice Marie (Williamson) Maynard

Janice Marie (Williamson) Maynard, age 75 of Tab, IN, passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.   Janice was born to Jesse James Williamson and Martha Marie (Hall) Williamson on April 9, 1944 in Wayne County, WV. She attended Guyan Valley High School in West Virginia. She married Owen Maynard on November 21, 1959 in Harts, WV. He preceded her in death July 12, 2016. She moved to Chicago in 1959 and lived there until moving back to Tab, where she has resided since 1988.   Janice was a homemaker and devoted Christian, who loved serving the Lord and always there to lend a helping hand to whoever was in need.  She loved crafts, working with flowers, and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.   Surviving are, 1 daughter, Cathy Hayes (husband: Mark) of Boswell, IN; 3 sons, James Owen Maynard (wife: Annamarie) of Dyer, IN, Jerry Lee Maynard (wife: Larhonda) of Whiting, IN, and Brett Layne Maynard of Colorado; Siblings, Woodrow M. Williamson (wife: Linda), Jesse Williamson, Debbie McComas, Tekeshia Lambert (husband: David), and Wendell James Williamson (Wife:Dana); 15 grandchildren 2 great- grandchildren   Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant brother, Earl J. Williamson; and brother, Wendell Williamson.   Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Ben Dispennett and her brother, Minister Jesse Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
