Jesse S. Allen

Jesse Stephen Allen, age 76 of West Lebanon, IN, passed away at 10:06 a.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his residence.

Jesse was born on July 18, 1945 in Danville, IL. He was the son of Hardy Stephen and Treva (Morran) Allen. Jesse was a 1964 graduate of Kingman High School. He was a life-long resident of Warren County. Jesse married his wife of 53 years Dale Ann Kinneer on May 24, 1969 and she survives.

In his early years Jesse worked at Harrison Steel Casting Company in Attica until he entered the service in October 1965 until 1967 where he served in the United States Army as military police in Vietnam. He later worked at Olin Corporation, Flexel and TMF Center.  Jesse enjoyed being outdoors and watching his grandchildren in all their sporting events.

Surviving with his wife, Dale, are, 2 children, Steve Allen and Daughter-in-law Amy Allen of Olive Branch, MS and their daughter Ashley (Steve) Knight of Indianapolis, IN; 1 daughter-in-law, Kathleen Allen of Milan, IL; 1 brother, Leonard (Karen) Allen of Kingman, IN; 8 grandchildren, Korri, Jalyn, and Isaiah Allen, Caitlyn and Naomi McDaniel, Paige Knight, and Trevor and Laurel Allen; and several nieces and nephews.  Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Joyce Allen and Alma Weir; and son, Kerry Allen.

Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Brenda McIntosh officiating and full military honors.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
