Jill Diane (Smith) Corbin

Jill Diane (Smith) Corbin, age 59 of Lafayette, IN, passed away at 6:38 p.m. on January 8, 2021 at her residence.

Jill was born on January 14, 1961 in Lafayette, IN. She was the daughter of Robert Donald Smith Sr. and Margaret L. (James) Smith. Jill graduated from Lafayette Jeff High School. She later graduated from Ivy Tech and Indiana Wesleyan University. Jill married Fredrick Corbin Sr. and he preceded her in death.

Jill worked as an accountant at Purdue University and later for the Department of Defense.

Jill was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was a cancer survivor and participated in several Relay for Life walks. She loved bingo and was an avid reader with a large book collection. Jill enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

2 Sons, Fredrick T. Corbin (Nicole) of Otterbein, IN and Jerome W. Corbin (Trisha) of Otterbein, IN;

Siblings, Peggy Sue Fry of Rossville, IN, Lois Smith of Lafayette, IN, Dolly Speer (Ricky) of Delphi, IN, James Smith of Fowler, IN, Carol Ellis (James) of Mesa, AZ, and Amy Sharp (William) of Attica, IN;

6 Grandchildren, Parker, Isaic, Elizabeth, Vikki, Aria, and Dexter

Jill was preceded in death by her father, Robert Donald Smith Sr.; husband, Fredrick Corbin Sr.; brother, Robert Donald Smith Jr.; and brother-in-law, Robert Fry.

Graveside services will be at Rainsville Cemetery on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Relay For Life of Tippecanoe County c/o American Cancer Society, 5635 W 96^th St, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
