Kathleen Elizabeth (Balser) Hogue

Kathleen Elizabeth (Balser) Hogue, age 95 of Williamsport, IN died at 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she has resided since 2008.   Kathleen was born in Prairie Township, IN on March 9, 1923. She was the daughter of Herbert and Florence (Marquess) Balser. She was a 1942 graduate of Williamsport High School. Kathleen married Lowell V. Hogue and he preceded her in death on January 28, 1992.   Kathleen was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of Locust Grove Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and square dancing. She spent many winters in Harlingen, TX. Kathleen was a exceptional seamstress. And enjoyed making dolls. Kathleen worked hand in hand with her husband Lowell on the family farm.   Surviving are, 2 children, Janet Conger (husband: Mick) of Newport, IN and Dennis Hogue (wife: Karen) of Ambia, IN Siblings, Robert Balser of Williamsport, IN, Roberta Anderson of Williamsport, IN and Gene Balser (wife: Beverly) of Katy, TX 4 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren Kathleen was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Hackett,; brother, Hansel Balser; sister-in-laws, Diana Balser and Eurith Balser; and brother-in-laws, Bill Hackett and Joseph Anderson.   Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on November 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m until the memorial service time at noon with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Private Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Locust Grove Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
