Keith Gordon Shideler

Keith Gordon Shideler, age 84 of West Lebanon, IN passed away on December 14, 2020 at his residence.

 

Keith was born on June 25, 1936 in Jackson, MI.  He was the son of Merritt and Grace (Duncan) Shideler.  Keith graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1954.  He later attended International Business School in Fort Wayne.  He married Sue Ann Travis on July 21, 1956 in Fort Wayne, IN.  She survives.

 

Keith was a truck driver for Schenkles All Star Dairy and Hartford Concrete Products retiring in 2001. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church.  Keith was an avid bowler, golfer and fisherman.  He loved Ford antique tractors. 

 

Surviving with his wife, Sue, are

3 children, Keitha Sue Shideler of Attica, IN, Bradley Merritt Shideler of Angola, IN, and Eric Shanahan Shideler (Hannah) of West Lebanon, IN

2 brothers, Gilbert Shideler (Darlene) and Barry Shideler (Connie) both of Huntington, IN

6 grandchildren, Schuyler LaBrosse, Isaiah LaBrosse (Michelle), Simon LaBrosse, Hannah Shideler, Olivia Shideler, and Eva Shideler

8 great-grandchildren

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Charles Shideler, sister-in-law, Ardith Shideler, and great-granddaughter, Kaley LaBrosse.

 

Visitation will be at St. Francis Xavier Church, 407 S Perry St, Attica, IN on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Father David Rasner officiating.  Private family inurnment will be at a later time at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Handicapped Entrance Fund, PO Box 55, Attica, IN 47918.  Online condolences may be made at www.gradyfuneralhome.com.
