Larry Eugene Pruitt, age 63 of West Lebanon, IN went to be with the Lord at 2:34 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Larry was born on July 1, 1955 in Danville, IL. He was the son of Charles Eugene Pruitt and Opal Marie (Bloomfield) Pruitt. He had attended Danville High School. Larry had served in the U.S. Navy. He then worked as a mechanic and later a detailer at Bryant Chevrolet until retiring in 2017.
Larry married Fay Virginia Cole on January 21, 1978 in West Lebanon, IN and she survives. He enjoyed slow pitch softball for over 40 years and loved dirt track racing. He also was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. Larry enjoyed building models and collecting die cast cars.
Surviving with his wife, Fay, are, children, Larry Eugene Pruitt (Jamie) of Wellington, IL, Anthony R. Pruitt (Lindsay) of Pine Village, IN, Matthew K. Pruitt (Lacie) of Bedford, IN, Dustin T. Pruitt of West Lebanon, IN, Kayla L. Hensler (Travis) of Fairland, IN, Nathan T. Pruitt (Kasey) of Williamsport, IN, and Shawn Johnson of Denver, CO; siblings, Teresa Moulton of Danville, IL, Patricia Pruitt of Danville, IL, and Roger Pruitt of Danville, IL; and 15 Grandchildren, Dylan, Kaileigh, Drew, Brodyn, Charlotte, Prezlie, Charleigh, Rylie, Hollyn, Acen, Brycen, Vanna, Brantley, Austin, and Logan. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Opal Pruitt; sister, Debbie Johnson, father and mother-in-law, Leonard “Slim” and Pauline Cole.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held there in the chapel on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
