Lavena Y. (Wilson) Farney

Lavena Y. (Wilson) Farney, age 83 of Columbus, IN, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Lavena was born on April 13, 1941 in Williamsport, IN. She was the daughter of Howard Raymond and Wandoline Grace (Siddens) Wilson. Lavena was a 1959 graduate of Williamsport High School. After graduation, she moved to Lafayette, IN before moving to Columbus, IN in 2002. She married James Fenstermaker and he preceded her in death. She later married Marvin Farney in Lafayette, IN and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Lavena was a member of the East Columbus Christian Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and Coca-Cola keepsakes. Lavena was an avid bowler. She worked at C&S Micro Electronics for 25 years, retiring in 2002.

Sister, Kay Clark of Williamsport, IN;

Sister-in-law, Nancy Wilson of Columbus, IN;

Nephews, James Gavin Wilson (wife: Sonja), Shawn Story, and Michael Story;

4 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews

Lavena was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Wilson.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel, 1718 W 350 N, West Lafayette, IN 47906 with Pastor Ron Bridgewater officiating.
