Margy Sue Garvais

Margy Sue Garvais, age 75 of Marietta, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024. Funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. She will be laid to rest in Locust Grove Cemetery in Ambia, Indiana. 

Margy was the daughter of James and Margaret (Miller) Garriott. She graduated from Ambia High School in 1967, and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse to serve the community for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Booth, and son Frank Thrift. She is survived by her husband Phillip Garvais; daughter Erin Thrift; brother James Garriott; sister Penny Lueck; and grandchildren Sadie, Stella, and Sloane Thrift. She had seven nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. 

The family will greet friends at Carmichael Funeral Home (1130 Whitlock Ave. NW) on Wednesday, February 21st from 1 to 2 PM before the service.

Her funeral service in Indiana will be held on Friday, February 23rd at 1 PM at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, with graveside service at Locust Grove Cemetery to follow.
