Marvin L. “Zeke” Pate, age 79 of rural Williamsport, passed away at the Lane House in Crawfordsville on March 7, 2024.
Zeke was born on October 19, 1944 in Salem, IN. He was the son of William and Juanita (Hobkins) Pate. Zeke lived with his grandparents Dick and Tiny Gee until the age of 5 when he moved with his mom to Danville, IL and later lived in Portland, OR. He moved to rural Williamsport in 1958 and had resided there since.
Zeke married Glenna J. Kietzman on December 12, 1976 at Grover Williams’ home and she survives.
Zeke worked as a heavy machine operator in the Laborers Local Union 204 in Terre Haute.
Zeke enjoyed junking, antique tractors, and going to auctions.
Surviving with his wife, Glenna, are:
2 sons, Keith Allen Flesher (wife: Kristen) of West Lafayette, IN and William Lee Pate of rural Williamsport;
2 sisters, Connie Grace Bacewick of Arizona and Sue Weston of Williamsport, IN;
4 granddaughters, Cassidy Wilson, Casey Flesher (fiance: Ryan), Cody Flesher (fiance: Dakota). and Hallie Lynch;
5 great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Xayden, Rhiya, Hazel, and Angel
Zeke was preceded in death by his parents, William and Juanita Pate and infant brother, David Pate.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor James Elrod officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
