Melvin Wayne Willhite

Melvin Wayne Willhite, age 73 of West Lebanon, IN, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Franciscan Health Lafayette. Melvin was born on November 2, 1949 in Danville, IL. He was the son of Gale Floyd and Barbara Maxine (Ottinger) Willhite. He was a 1968 graduate of Seeger High School and attended IU Bloomington. Melvin was a lifelong resident of Warren County. He married Erna Beloino on November 4, 2006 at the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene and she survives. Melvin worked at Tru Flex in West Lebanon for many years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church. Melvin was an avid reader, loved golfing, and enjoyed playing football when he was a student at Seeger. Surviving are: 2 children, Michelle Moore (Mike) of Pendleton, IN and Corey Willhite (Angie) of Danville, Il; 2 brothers, Larry Willhite of Blue Ridge, CO and David Willhite (Leanora) of Westville, IL; 1 sister, Laurie Miller of Wolcott, IN; 6 grandchildren, Madilyn Moore, Seth Moore, Alaina Moore, Austin Willhite, Jonathan Willhite, and Caleb Willhite Melvin was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at the West Lebanon Christian Church, 201 S Clinton St, West Lebanon, IN 47991 on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the WLCC Youth Program.
