Pamela Jo Phelps, age 73 of Covington, IN, went home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Waters of Covington. Pamela was born in Ambia, IN on January 31, 1948. She was the eldest daughter of the late James Harold and Shirley Mae (Collins) Phelps. Pamela had lived in Missouri and Texas but spent much of her adult life in Phoenix, AZ. She returned to Indiana about ten years ago to be closer to family. Pamela graduated from Schererville High School in 1966. She attended SMS College before entering the workforce as an administrative assistant. Pamela sang in the choir of her church in Phoenix and attended Assembly of God churches wherever she lived. Surviving are, 2 sisters, Debbie Stoehr of Valparaiso, IN and Penny (Dave) Kegebein of Saint John, IN; 1 brother, James Craig (Miriam) Phelps; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved like family Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. EST with Rev. Harold Varner (Hedrick Assembly of God) officiating. The family requests that those in attendance wear purple in honor of Pamela’s favorite color and flamboyance.
