Patricia Norene (Kellnhofer) Sward, age 90 of West Lebanon, IN, passed away at 6:28 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Williamsport Nursing & Rehab, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born on August 13, 1933 in Medford, WI. She was the daughter of Charles Ludwig Kellnhofer and Laura Norene (Harper) Kellnhofer. Patricia was a 1951 graduate of Medford High School. She grew up in Wisconsin until moving to Indiana in 1965. Patricia moved to West Lebanon in 1968 and had resided there since. She married Alvin Oscar Sward on August 8, 1953 and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2003.
Patricia worked at Del Storm in Danville, IL for 30 years, retiring in 2000. She attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Attica. Patricia was a member of the St. Francis Ladies Guild and Ladies Guild Sewing Club. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, gardening, bird watching, embroidery, and baking cookies.

3 sons, David Sward (wife: Leah) of Ripley, OH, Scott Sward (wife: Taeko) of West Lebanon, IN, and Charles “Chuck” Sward of Indianapolis, IN;
8 daughters, Cynthia Rumple (husband: David) of Veedersburg, IN, Mary Johnson (husband: Walter) of Indianapolis, IN, Sandra Vandenburg (husband: Les) of Hoopeston, IL, Suzanne Ricketts of West Lebanon, IN, Jeanne Jackson (companion: Allen Ashwill) of Williamsport, IN, Theresa Sward of New Market, IN, Heidi Flood (husband: Kenny), and Sara Steele (husband: Shawn) of West Lebanon, IN;
17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren;
Several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren;
2 sisters, Luann Grube of Burlington, WI and Bonnie Lipprandt of Carpentersville, IL
Patricia was preceded in death by a son, Bob Sward and her brothers, William Kellnhofer, Ted Kellnhofer, and Don Kellnhofer; and sister, Leah Emerick.
Visitation will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 407 S Perry St, Attica, IN, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father David Rasner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
