Patricia J. Nigg

A private funeral service was held held for Patricia J. Nigg, 92, of Granville, at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, Granville with Rev. Bob Long, as celebrant. Burial followed at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville. Pat passed away May 27, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. She was born in Warren County, Indiana on June 10, 1928 to the late Charles and Mary Comer. Pat was a 1947 graduate of Pine Village High School. A 50+ year member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Granville, Pat will be remembered for her care of others and love of family. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling in the mountains and to the beaches with family, and seeing the world with her dear friends, Peggy and Dick Hamann. Her greatest treasure was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Chuck and Kristen Nigg, and Leslie and James Moody; grandchildren, Andrew (Lindsay) Moody, Cory (Brie) Blowers, Katie McCluskey, and Angie Nigg; great grandchildren, Bella, RJ, Cole, Patty May, and Emory; brother and sister-in-law, Charles “Sonny” and Anna Mae Comer; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth E. Nigg; sister, Nancy Beason; and beloved and loyal canine companion, Toby. Chuck and Leslie wish to express their gratitude and give thanks for all the loving caregivers at HomeInstead and friends at Sanctuary Senior Living that helped care for Pat.
