Patsy A. (Bowlus) Hunter

Pat passed away peacefully on May 14th at the Grand Brook Memory Care of Zionsville where she had lived the past several months. Pat was born in Williamsport, IN on August 15, 1932, the youngest child of the late James B. and Carrie A. (Butts) Bowlus. She was a proud life-long Warren County resident until her recent illness. Pat was a graduate of Williamsport High School, Class of 1950. She enjoyed working several years in local government offices in the Warren County Court House. Pat was a great cook and tried out a new recipe every week for more than 50 years. Pat also enjoyed travel and visited many parts of the country with her daughter and friends by bus, car and train. She even made trips to Hawaii, France and Italy even though she really didn’t care for flying! Pat loved to read, especially mysteries and thrillers, and she enjoyed word puzzles and watching television. In younger years she enjoyed antique collecting and home decorating. In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her two brothers and two sisters. Surviving to cherish her memory are son, Dennis C. (Sherry) Hunter of Lafayette IN and daughter, Ginger H. (Al) Such of Indianapolis IN. Also, her four grandchildren, Angela L. Hunter, (companion Brad Mileham) and Megan (Matt) Knouff, both of Lafayette, IN and Carrie J. Such and Ted Such both of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. We’d like to thank the wonderful staff of Grand Brook of Zionsville, IN for their compassionate care during mom’s last months. And Paradigm Hospice for their boundless support. Services will be handled by Grady Funeral Home, Williamsport IN Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating.
