Peggy Jo (VanSickle) Cooksey, age 71 of Williamsport, IN died on June 12, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Peggy was born on May 15, 1946 in Williamsport, IN. She was the daughter of Joe and Betty (Mornout) VanSickle. She resided in Warren County all of her life and graduated from Williamsport High School in 1964. On October 23, 1964 she married James A. Cooksey in Attica, IN and he survives. Peggy was the owner and operator of A Touch of Silk and Fresh for over 20 years. She enjoyed taking care of her dogs and loved to watch her grandchildren in their activities. Surviving with her husband, Jim, are, 2 sons, Chris Cooksey (wife: Kathy) and Mike Cooksey both of Williamsport, IN; 2 brothers, Gary “Butch” VanSickle of Kingman, IN and Jerry VanSickle of West Lebanon, IN; and 4 grandchildren, Madison Cooksey, MacKinley Cooksey, Morgan Cooksey, and Garrett Cooksey. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paws ‘n’ Claws Animal Shelter.
