Ralph J. Cox

Ralph J. Cox, age 88 of Marshfield, IN, died at 4:38 a.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. Ralph was born in Otterbein, IN on April 19, 1929. He was the son of Jay and Melba (Wheeler) Cox. He grew up in Pence and lived in Williamsport for many years before moving to Marshfield area in 1966. He married Merlie Robbins on November 29, 1952 in Danville, IL. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2002. Ralph served in the U.S. Navy. He had a strong faith in the Lord. Surviving are, 1 son, Chris Cox of Marshfield, IN; siblings, Jeannie Connor (Jim) of West Lebanon, IN and Calvin Cox of Naples, FL; and 1 grandson, Jordan Cox.  Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Merlie, son, Jeffrey Ralph Cox, and 1 sister and 1 brother. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from noon until service time at 1:00 with Kenion Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
