Richard Brown

Richard Lee Brown, age 84 of West Lafayette, IN, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 1, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Richard was born on September 11, 1939 in Pence, IN. He was the son of Clem “Bud” and Olive (Watson) Brown. Richard was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School. He married Jean Tretter in Kokomo, IN on September 11, 1974 and she survives.

Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He owned and operated Jedi Trucking out of Plymouth, IN.

Richard loved to travel and spend time with his family.

Surviving with his wife, Jean, are:

2 children, Bryan Brown of Silver Lake, IN and Pat Stallman (Susan) of Zionsville, IN;

Grandchildren, Kameron Brown, Michelle Stallman, and Anthony Stallman;

Great-grandchildren, Kenlyee Brown, Margaret Brown, and Jamie Brown

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Olive Brown; brother, Jim Brown and granddaughter, Casey Brown.

There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made payable to the Lafayette VA Clinic or Franciscan Health and designate hospice care on the memo line.
