Richard "Dick" Fox

Richard “Dick” Fox, age 75 of Marshfield, IN, died at 9:55 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette. Dick was born on August 8, 1946 in Danville, IL to Willie and Eileen (Van Allen) Fox. He attended Oakwood schools. Dick married Garnet Ann Walker on April 15, 1967 in Tilton, IL and she preceded him in death on October 16, 2013. Dick worked for General Motors for 34 years, retiring in 1992. He had been an avid coon hunter and enjoyed finding mushrooms and ginseng. Dick also gardened and planted flowers. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandson Zeke. Surviving are, Daughter, Veronica (Mark) Wright of Marshfield, IN; Grandson, Derek (Kayla) Fox of Attica, IN; Great-grandson, Richard Riley “Zeke” Fox of Attica, IN; Step-grandchildren, Tasha (Willie) Kerst of Williamsport, IN and Jeremy (Evan) Gibbs of Lafayette, IN; Step-great-grandsons, Billy Ray Kerst and John Oliver Gibbs; Step-great-granddaughters, Mallory Kendal Kerst and Lucy Ella Gibbs; Brothers, Larry (Kathy) Fox of Alvin, IL and David (Cindy) Fox of Tilton, IL; Sister, Rosemary (Dave) Calhoun of Tilton, IL; Close family friend, Sam (Lynn) Wynn of Bismarck, IL; Several nieces and nephews Dick was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Garnet; daughter, Yvonne; brothers, Van Allen Fox, Ronald Fox, Kenneth Fox, and Ted Fox; and sister, Sharon Chestnut. Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be there in the chapel on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
