Richard L. “Dick” Gee age 90 of Marshfield, IN died at 11:57 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis, IN. Dick was born on June 26, 1927 near Marshfield, IN. He was the son of Chauncy Bruce and Ida May (Murphy) Gee. He was a graduate of Marshfield school and was a lifelong resident of Marshfield, IN. On February 8, 1946 he married Oretha “Tiny” Hopkins. She survives. Dick worked for Harrison Steel Casting Co. and owned and operated Dick’s Frame Shop in Marshfield since 1972. He was a lifetime member of the Attica Eagles Lodge #2596 and Moose Lodge #1482 Attica. Dick enjoyed shooting pool and watching college basketball. He was an avid IU fan. He was a perfectionist at all he did. Surviving are, wife, Tiny Gee of Williamsport, IN; daughter, Jacqueline “Sue” Weston (husband: Tom) of Marshfield, IN; 2 brothers, Bruce “Jake” Gee (wife: Pat) of Covington, IN and Howard Gee (wife: Mary) of Williamsport, IN; 2 grandchildren, Rick Weston (wife: Kristi) of Lafayette, IN and Robin Hubner (husband: Craig) of Williamsport, IN; and 3 great-grandchildren, Brooke Weston, Jessica Weston and Michayla Hubner. Dick was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Doris Inman, Rosie Simonton, Luella Beardsley, Cynthia Simonton, Eva Harden, and Ann Wesley, and 3 brothers, Gordon Gee, David Gee and Frank Gee. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Friday, July 7, 2017 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Ministers Bruce Thornsbrough and Steve Padgett officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
