Richard Lamar Fletcher, age 59 of Pine Village, IN passed away at IU Medical Center in Lafayette, IN on August 4, 2017 after a long illness. Richard was the son of Lamar “Tuffy” and Charolette (Turner) Fletcher. He was born on December 9, 1957 and has been a lifelong resident of Pine Village, IN. He graduated from Seeger Memorial High School in 1976. After high school, he attended Ivy Tech and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration. He worked for Hobart & Brooks Food Sales & Service for 39 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. You could usually find him relaxing under his pine trees in the his backyard. He has lived with Rhocenia “Cenia” Snedeker for 39 years and helped raise her three sons: Bob (Beth) Snedeker; Thadd (partner: Heather) Snedeker; and R. Tinker (partner: Clara) Snedeker. They have six grandchildren, Jalen & Abbi (Thadd); Lexi & Owen (Bob); and Rylie & Zach (Tinker). He is survived by two sisters, Peggy (David) Derflinger of Pine Village, IN and Patsy (Tom) Butler of New Concord, KY; and 3 nephews, Jacob & Jared Butler and David Derflinger. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. The family has requested donations be made to the A Mother’s Love, a cancer support fund, at the Warren County Community Foundation (warrencountyfoundation.com) in lieu of flowers. There will be a private graveside service for family at a later date.
