Richard "Richie" Allen Neild

Richard Allen “Richie” Neild, age 78 of West Lebanon, IN, went to be with the Lord at 4:29 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport.

Richie was born on August 6, 1942. He was the son of William Richard and Juanita (Winland) Neild. Richie was a 1960 graduate of Georgetown High School. He married Winifred A. Knight on July 1, 1962 in Georgetown, IL and she survives. Richie lived most of his life in Georgetown, IL before moving to West Lebanon in 1969 where he has resided since.

Richie started driving a truck for his uncle during his senior year of high school. He was a truck driver for 63 years. Richie also had worked at Crop Production Services in West Lebanon for 5 years.

Richie was a people person and loved being with others. He enjoyed having a beer or two with his buddies uptown.

Surviving with his wife, Winifred, are, 1 son, Doug Neild (Paula) of Carollton, GA; 2 grandchildren, Ethan Neild (Olivia) and Courtney Neild; 1 sister, Betty Crusen of Metamora, IL; 2 aunts, Patricia Winland of Georgetown, IL and Eileen Vines of Hoopeston, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Kevin Neild.
