Robert B. “Bob” Folk, age 88 of Williamsport, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Bob was born on March 21, 1933 in Lafayette, IN. He was the son of John B. and Esther C. (Bower) Folk. Bob was a 1951 graduate of Williamsport High School. He was a lifelong resident of Warren County. Bob married Janet Sue Hensley on June 16, 1957 at the Williamsport United Methodist Church and she preceded him in death March 1, 2004. Bob served in the U.S. Army. He started work at the Williamsport Post Office in 1957 becoming acting post- master in 1959. Bob then worked at Central National Bank in 1961, becoming the bank president in 1978 until his retirement in 2001. After retirement, he continued as chairmen of the board at the bank. Bob was a member of the Illiana Antique Power Association and Friends of the Library. He had previously served on the Williamsport Hospital Board and was a Warren County councilman for 24 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Bob had an expansive collection of Warren and Fountain County memorabilia. Surviving are, 3 children, John C. (Sherry) Folk of Bluffton, IN, Richard W. (Julie) Folk of Covington, TN, and Linda S. (David) Black of Oxford, IN; 1 sister, Nancy C. Petry of Littleton, CO; 7 grandchildren, Tyson Black, Alyssa (Jimmy) Hiller, Justin (Anna Claire) Folk, Andrea Folk, Rachel (Todd) Laws, Brittany Folk, and Matt Folk; 5 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Folk, James Hiller, Hattie Hiller, Lydia Laws, and Lukas Laws Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet; and brother, John William Folk. Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating.
