Ruby F. (Cook) Bisner, age 98 of rural Attica, passed away 1:45PM Thursday July 15, 2021 at Indiana Soldiers Home in West Lafayette, Indiana. Ruby was born September 25, 1922 near Independence IN, the daughter of Jesse E. and Elsie Pearl (Harper) Cook. She married Richard C. Bisner October 11, 1941 in Pine Village IN and he preceded her in death March 2, 1994. She is also preceded in death by an infant son, Jesse Edward Bisner, and a brother Dale E. Cook. Surviving family include two daughters, Marty Haynes, Lafayette; Fran Memmer, Lafayette; a son Ronald C Bisner, Lafayette; four grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great- grandchildren. Ruby graduated from Pine Village High School in 1940. She was employed at Ollie & Mary Ball’s Alteration Shop in Lafayette 1964-1966. In 1967 she was employed by Purdue University and worked there as Head Cook until her retirement on April 30, 1985. In her free-time she enjoyed knitting and reading. She was member of the Rainsville Community Church, Senior Citizen Center in Boswell IN, Farm Bureau since 1947; and a former member of Rebecca Lodge and the Home Demonstration Club. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Church, 2500 Glick St., Lafayette, IN at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 with Chaplain David Hess officiating. A meal will follow at the fellowship hall at The Church prepared by the ladies. Private inurnment will be at the Rainsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Rainsville Cemetery.
