Ruth "Ruthie" Marie Tryon

Ruth “Ruthie” Marie Tryon, age 62 of Clinton, IN, formerly of Cayuga, IN, went to be with the Lord at 11:55 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022 at VCC where she had resided the past 20 years.

Ruthie was born on November 23, 1960.  She was the daughter of Clarence A. and Madeline L. (McMasters) Tryon.  She was raised in Cayuga, IN and moved to Louisiana in 1979.  She returned to Indiana in September 2001, living in Newport, IN until January 2002 when she moved to Clinton, IN.  Ruthie had attended Cayuga Pentecostal Church of God.  She loved to rock and swing.  She would raise her fist and say “I’m going to get you.”  Her niece, Jessica’s kids, taught her how to fist bump. 

Ruthie is survived by, 1 sister, Beth Cutrell of West Lebanon, IN; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary McMasters Melerine (Phillip) of Slidell, LA and Janet Tryon of Danville, IL; and several nieces and nephews, including her niece, Jessica Tryon, whom she shared a special bond with.

Ruthie is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Jerry McMasters and Joe Tryon, and 1 sister, Joyce Ogle

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home, 111 E Monroe St., Williamsport, IN on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ramona Trover officiating.  Interment will follow at Miller Cemetery near Lodi, IN.  Memorial contributions may made to the Riley Hospital for Children.
