Sharon Kay Allison, age 78 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. Sharon was born on May 9, 1943 in Williamsport, IN. She was the daughter of Robert Otto Black and Annabell (Holycross) Swick. Sharon was a 1961 graduate of Williamsport High School. She married the love of her life, Eddy Wayne Allison in Rockville, IN on May 18, 2002 and he survives. Sharon worked for M.S.D. of Warren County for 17 years as a school bus driver. She had previously worked at Master Guard and Robies for a few years. Sharon was a member of the Marshfield Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bingo player. Sharon loved doing crossword puzzles in the mornings sitting on her deck and playing Bunko with her “girls.” Sharon worshipped her grandchildren and tried to never miss a football game or a “queen” crowning. Even though her recliner called her name regularly, she was always up for a visit or call with friends. Taking rides with Ed and their lady-girl was always a pleasure. Surviving with her husband, Ed, are, 2 daughters, Sheila Ann (Paul) McConnaughey of Terre Haute, IN and Sheryl Kay (Jeff) Mellady of Lafayette, IN; 1 step-son, Tim Wayne (Michelle) Allison of Attica, IN; 1 step-daughter, Tracey Ann Allison; 1 brother, Bob (Vicki) Black of Speedway, IN; 1 sister, Beverly Rempfer of Houston, TX; 2 grandchildren, Fredrick Zachery (Lyndsey) McConnaughey and Megan Marie (Trevor) Havens; 1 great-granddaughter, Lilly Marie McConnaughey, and 5 step-grandchildren, Matthew (Megan) Mellady, Mason Mellady, Michael Mellady, Lucas Allison, Kayla (Tadd) Blanton; 5 step-great-grandchildren, Maddox, Maya, Grayson, Sophie, Adley Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Louis Frye. Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
