Talmadge “Jack” Jackson, age 89 of West Lebanon, IN, passed away at Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 7:02 p.m.
Jack was born on June 17, 1935 in Salem, IN. He was the son of Talmadge and Lucille (Goodpastor) Jackson. Jack resided in Salem, IN until moving to Warren County in 1960. He was a 1954 graduate of Salem High School. Jack was married to Norma Jean Gater from 1954 until 1969. Jack married Judy Sexton January 1973 and she preceded him in death on September 17, 2023.
After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany from 1958 until 1960. Jack completed a tour of duty in Germany during his time in the service. After his Army service he was a truck driver for 27 years, driving all 48 continental United States. He previously worked at Olin corporation for 10 years.
Jack enjoyed hunting, mushroom hunting, and playing basketball. He was a member of the American Legion in Richmond, IN later transferring to the Perrysville Legion and then the Attica Legion.

Children, Mike Jackson of Attica, IN, Lisa Johnson (Dave) of Williamsport, IN, Traci Hill (Dave) of Vincennes, IN, Kim Payne of Attica, IN, and Rhett Butler (Rhonda) of Danville, IL;
Sister, Joan Robertson of Brownstown, IN;
9 grandchildren, Jarrod DeZarn, Jackie Gruber, Joanna Sichts, Jacob Payne, T. J. Jackson, Corey Jackson, Kayla Butler, Drew Hill, and Ali Hill;
19 great-granchildren
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy; and siblings, Jay Scott, Carolyn Robertson, and Joe Jackson.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at the West Lebanon Cemetery this spring/summer. Our website will be updated with a date and time when the service is scheduled.
