Terry Joe "Shep" Sheppard

Terry Joe “Shep” Sheppard, age 77 of West Lebanon, IN, passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Waters of Covington. Terry was born on July 15, 1944. He was the son of Ralph (Baldy) Sheppard and Violet Jane (Beard) Alkire. Terry was a 1965 graduate of Seeger High School. After Graduation, Terry entered the United States Army and served from 1967-1974. Terry did two tours in Vietnam during his service. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #3318. Terry retired from the Veterans Health Administration Hospital in Danville IL. Terry was also self-employed at his bar and restaurant “Shep’s” in West Lebanon for over 15 years. He loved nothing more than sharing his love for cooking and entertaining the community. He enjoyed many days on his Harley Davidson. Terry leaves behind his loving companion of many years, Debbie Kight, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also is survived by Daughter, Shannon Walls (Matthew) of McCordsville IN and two grandsons, Zakary Weaver (Mallory) of Nashville TN and Blake Walls of McCordsville IN. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; half-sisters Bonnie Green and Becky Robbins. A private inurnment will be held at West Lebanon Cemetery with full military honors.
