Walter W. White, age 85 of West Lebanon, IN went to be with the Lord at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the Waters of Covington.
Walter was born on June 28, 1935 in Marshfield, IN. He was the son of Samuel C. and Reatha (Bush) White. Walter was a life-long resident of Warren County. He was a West Lebanon High School graduate. Walter married Earlene S. Dowling in Hoopeston, IL on July 2, 1961 and she survives.
Walter worked for the railroad during high school. He worked for Harrison Steel Casting Company in Attica, IN. He later worked at Hyster/Nacco Materials Handling Group in Danville, IL for over 30 years until his retirement in 1996. While at Hyster he was active in the ILTBU, holding office as Sargent at Arms. Walter was a bus driver for MSD of Warren County for 17 years.
Walter loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was an Indiana University Men’s Basketball fan, Indianapolis Colts fan, and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Daughter, Melinda R. Potts (Larry) of rural Williamsport, IN;
Son, Mark R. White (Michelle) of rural West Lebanon, IN:
3 grandchildren, Stephanie Houmes (Eric), Colton White, and Cooper White;
3 great-grandchildren, Brodie, Maddox and Emerie Houmes
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; and 1 grandson, Tyler D. Potts.
Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Pavlick officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.gradyfuneralhome.com.
